Mr Whales and Mr Sea turtles Don't Eat Bubble Gums please

I wanted to write about this comic strip when I had my first sight on it. This comic show one of the major problem this world is facing. The habitat of aqua animal is greatly infected, as some of the human beings kept littering garbage into the ocean floor. Even though this comic only shows the aqua habitat, but the land habitat is also affected as well. 

The main character in this comic is a whale, a whale that is eating a bubblegum? This comic use style of humor and irony, saying that this whale is testing a new flavor of bubblegum. We all know is not a real bubblegum, is plastic, garbage we threw in the ocean floor. The whale in the comic strip show no expression, is the “bubble gum” not tasty, not willing to purchase more? Maybe, these aqua animal never had an option. They don’t see things like we human beings, colors, angles, and analysis that things floating in front of them is a plastic or jelly fish. 

Next, sea turtles are also one of the protected animal. Sea turtles have long life span, life span may be as long as century, but challenges is turning their life span shorter. One of the challenge is plastic, that is threw into the ocean by human. Jellyfish is one of the food for sea turtles, and to them jellyfish is very yummy, but one thing is plastic look similar with jellyfish. Is colorful, light, and floating, sea turtles often mistaken and eat the plastic too. Thus, sea turtles have a unique throat, which don’t allow them to vomit whatever they swallow, and so plastic is stuck in their throat.

Studies shows a year 100 000 of aqua creatures die from plastic entanglement. Moreover, 1million of sea birds also die from plastic. Accidentally swallow plastic, and plastic tied on their beak is the two major problem seagulls facing while hunting. Plastic greatly bring harm to this planet earth, and this comic strip only show the problem under the ocean. I wish, eco-friendly plastic can fully replace plastic role, and hoping eco-friendly plastic is safe for the animals to eat by accidentally. A good and safety environment shall be return to aqua and landed animals, let’s say “No to Plastic”.
