My Childhood Your Childhood Ours Childhood

Whenever when I pass by the snacks area in supermarket, I can still see some snacks I ate when I was little. Biscuits, candies and chocolates, especially snack that contain toys in it. Most of he time, I spent most of my pocket money just to collect the toys. What's your childhood snacks? I hope I will not list snacks that you don't recognise.

First snacks is a type of biscuits, Ice gems, also known as naval biscuits are one of those traditional snacks you’ll never forget. Bite-sized biscuits topped with a kind of sweet, hard “icing”. How do you eat it? I eat it separate first I will eat the icing because I don't like the taste of it, but I was taught to not waste food. So, I will finished up all the icing first, then enjoy my biscuit parts. Next is Haw flakes, or more commonly known as the thin discs candies that we probably didn’t bother to find out what they were actually made of because all we cared about was their pleasantly sweet and sour taste. I like this snacks is also because I get to    share with my friends, also the feels of tearing the paper. 

Later on we have Biskut Piring, when I was little I used to see this at those highway rest area. My mom will buy one for me if I asked, however I'm not allow to eat it in the car. So, I can decide to eat at the rest area or at out destination. When I was little I don't know what is it call I always say the colourful CD's. Moreover I remembered White Rabbit Cream Candy, that have a "paper" that wrapped the candy. When I was little I really thought it was a paper, I tear it carefully, when I almost tear it finish then my mom say it was eatable. I'm almost crazy at that time, luckily at least now I know I can eat that. Thus, White Rabbit production also made more product using White Rabbit Candy, such as ice-cream, bubble tea, also things that is uneatable, bags, purse and more.

These snacks can still be purchase at stores when it is on stocks, if you haven't try any of it, do give it a try and not expensive too. The expensive parts is out memories. I'll share more Malaysian childhood snacks next time.
